Toka is officially a ‘dog in training.’ His name shows up on the International Dog Parkour Association’s website in their list of title holders.
My sister’s little Rottie puppy Taika also earned hers, as did Toka’s sister Kiyo. Our friend Jami’s little rescue from Bulgaria earned hers, too! I know Ana, whose Rottie earned one. Good dogs, one & all.
In another area, I decided I was going to teach Toka how to weave. I’ve never taught weaves before, so I’m making it up as I go along. Here’s a vid of his first 2 days of work. The first was filmed on Christmas eve day. It was 65 degrees out!!
I’m shaping his work. To start, every time he stuck his nose between the poles, he got a cookie. Then he had to move between the poles, and so on.
He pretty quickly twigs onto what he’s supposed to do!
Very nice. Shaping is amazing. Toka is so handsome!
