The pups and I had a busy and fun weekend with nose work, heeling and barn hunt practice and training.
Saturday, we had several really good nose work practice sessions, including exterior searches at the Ithaca College Boathouse and a couple of vehicle searches on the school’s enormous boat trailers.
Sunday noon time we practiced some pivot disk work to hone his heeling skills.
In the late afternoon, Toka had his first barn hunt lesson with his new favorite auntie and barn hunt instructor (and judge) extraordinaire, Eva of Central Bark. He had fun, and is clearly learning that some tubes have rats, and some are just boring.
While he was pretty pooped last night, he had plenty of energy to take a 5 mile hike with me and Kiyo this morning.
