Toka and I continue to plug away at rudimentary obedience skills.  We also play (a lot!) too.  He loves toys, and gets extremely animated when I pull out a toy when we’re training.  Funny little red dog!

Here’s a short clip of us practicing heeling today.  I’m walking slowly to make sure I can deliver a reward quickly. I’ve got to fix where I reward him — you can see that he’s crabbing (his butt is swinging out).  His attention is good! And his head & shoulders are lined up where they should be.  A good start:

Here’s some focus work we did yesterday.  There were 3 chickens running about in the yard – he ignored them.  Good boy!
