It’s always something

Turns out that my perfect girl Kiyo probably has a fractured metatarsal in her right front foot.  The local orthopedic specialist who is an acquaintance of mine will be shooting radiographs tomorrow.  Kiyo foot and leg will be in a splint for 4-6 weeks.

Keeping her quiet will be an effort.  Planning on nose work exercises, as well as scent discrimination and retrieval games to keep her mind busy.

In the past week, a wide, dark ‘V’ has appeared between his eyebrows.  Sometimes it makes him look impish, other times, he looks very wise.  Right now he’s spending most of his time looking impish.

  1. I had to look twice at that pix of Toka to be sure it was him! That “V” is certainly new–I haven’t seen it before. He looks so mature–it’s a lovely pix. Toka is well on his way to becoming a handsome dog. He’s gotten a lot bigger than when I last him–what? two weeks ago. Nice, nice head shot of the beautiful Kiyo, too.
