Toka uses his nose an amazing amount. It seems that when he’s not sleeping, he’s sniffing. In addition to tracking, we started nose work.
I hold cookies in one hand, and a tin with birch scented Q-tips in it. As soon as he even looks at the tin, he gets cookies. He twigged onto the idea very quickly, so he’s planting his nose on the tin when he can’t get the cookies out of my closed fist.
Our efforts on Day 2:
We continue to work on foundation skills – socialization, impulse control (classic game for this is Susan Garrett’s ‘It’s Yer Choice’), walking on a leash, sitting politely when he gets a cookie.
